    When the last stand is triggered, deploy a decoy or tear gas on the unit which triggered the last stand. Hahahah! This decoy should affect the attacker's units, Muahahaha!

      What triggers the Last Stand? Seems pretty random to me. I mean many times they haven't even come close to breaching my base and my Last Stand units get triggered to go out and die. Do they even have a cool down for re-last-standing?

        Last Stand units only trigger once per battle. I believe there is a near-hq proximity and a far-hq proximity: Last Stand triggers when an attacking unit enters the near-hq proximity. I thought it was relative based on wall concentration, but perhaps not.

          They release right about the end of the last set of rocks, but they can be triggered early with a decoy.

            When last stand units spawn without any enemy units in sight, it's most likely triggered by stray bullet damage to HQ
