  • Sergeant Improves 41% damage of units!

    Hello my friends,
    sergeant.jpg
i noticed that both of odytsak and peer said that sergeant provides an 80% increase to damage.
but after i tried i figured out that they were wrong ^^

Sergeant is so underrated. She fires her weapon a lot too because she earns vet status with ease.

I don't know if she's under-rated. She's a fairly common unit to see people run, from what I've seen anyway.

Sergeant improves damage, that means helping in getting vets, also if you use fast track perk, or you don't need them all as you see in this video

Couldn't they be referring to their base damage?

The Sergeant's buff provides an 80% increase to the unit's base damage, not their buffed damage. So if you want to prove that's inaccurate, you need to run the test again without perks.

i used the same perk for getting a constant coefficient (same damage in both cases).mathematically, if i had tried with no perks, i would have got the same result ^^
as they say; A well-respected officer - the Sergeant improves damage and accuracy of nearby units. so, he dosen't care about anything just improves nearby units

Guys, this is an old discussion, as Kenpo_Kid69 already said these increases are additive and not multiplicative.
Give me 20-30 minutes to capture and upload a Sergeant test video.

Btw, up to 8 units can be buffed per Sergeant, check at number 4 in the ''10+1 things you probably didn't know'' video below.

Since no Damage Perk nor Damage Medal was involved, the conclusion of 80% damage boost is better supported in your demonstration.

@cusman, medals of damage are integrated on the units, so. we can say that sergent improves damage depending on the units between 41% to 80%

That's why Odystak used Rockeeter because they don't have damage boost medals. This makes it easier to see the Sergeants actual enhancement effect when you remove all the other variables from the equation.

Its based off of base damage and that does matter if you start adding in other factors. A base Sniper for example does 250 damage, with a 80% boost from Sergeant that should be 450 damage.

But once you start adding in other variables though, 66% from diamond damage perk for 165 damage. His two medals for +15% and +40% for 137.5 damage. A 8% damage hat for 20 damage.

So now we have our maximum damage potential of 572.5. Add our Sergeant's boost of 200 for 772.5. But now if we turn that into a percentage instead of being 80% as it is with the base damage, it now appears to be 25.88%. Sergeant's benefit hasn't changed, but it becomes less noticeable as you factor in all the other variables.
